# Google Trends API

> Google Trends returns search interest, trending searches, and related searches as a workflow and API.

Google Trends compares interest in one to five search terms over time, using terms and optional region, category, and time range. Its regional method ranks places for a search term; its trending method lists searches by country, category, and time window. Its related-search method returns top and rising searches and topics for a term, with an optional region and time range.

## Methods

### Get interest by region

Operation `get_interest_by_region`, version 1. 1 credit per completed call. Failed calls without a completed billing receipt are free; completed work can remain charged if delivery is interrupted.

See where a search term has the highest relative search interest, across countries worldwide or regions within a country. Scores are normalized from 0 to 100; low-volume locations may have no score.

**Input**

| Field | Type | Required | Example | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| `term` | string | yes | `"pickleball"` | Search term to compare across places, for example pickleball. |
| `country` | string | no | `"United States"` | Country name or two-letter code, such as United States or US; use worldwide to list countries. |
| `time_range` | string | no | `"past_30_days"` | Period to measure, for example past_12_months. |
| `include_low_volume` | boolean | no | `false` | Include locations without enough measured searches as zero-interest entries; for example false. |

Replace `YOUR_API_KEY` with a Fous API key. To create one, open Developers at the bottom of Fous Studio, turn on Developer mode, then go to API keys (https://app.fous.com/keys). Change the values in `input` to run the same tool on new data.

```bash
curl 'https://api.fous.com/v1/query' \
