# Steam API

> Steam returns PC game details, reviews, charts, and player counts as a workflow and API.

Steam's Get game returns game details, prices, reviews, tags, and player counts from a game name, link, or app ID. Get game reviews returns public reviews and ratings from a game name, link, or app ID, with optional filters. Charts come from List most played and List top sellers; Get player count history needs a game for monthly trends.

## Methods

### Get game

Operation `get_game`, version 1. 1 credit per completed call. Failed calls without a completed billing receipt are free; completed work can remain charged if delivery is interrupted.

Find a PC game by name, Steam link, or app ID and get its store details, country-specific price, reviews, tags, and live player count. Some games do not publish every detail.

### Get game reviews

Read public Steam player reviews for a game by name, store link, or app ID, with optional sorting, verdict, and language filters. Overall figures cover all languages and verdicts.

### Get player count history

Operation `get_player_count_history`, version 1. 1 credit per completed call. Failed calls without a completed billing receipt are free; completed work can remain charged if delivery is interrupted.

Get a Steam game’s current players, peaks and monthly player-count history from SteamCharts. Historical peak dates may be first-of-month chart markers rather than exact peak days.

### List most played

Operation `list_most_played`, version 1. 1 credit per completed call. Failed calls without a completed billing receipt are free; completed work can remain charged if delivery is interrupted.

List the games with the most players right now, including current and peak players and prices for your country. Prices may be unavailable for some games.

## Quick start

Replace `YOUR_API_KEY` with a Fous API key. To create one, open Developers at the bottom of Fous Studio, turn on Developer mode, then go to API keys (https://app.fous.com/keys). Change the values in `input` to run the same tool on new data.
