# The Weather Channel API

> The Weather Channel returns current conditions, forecasts, and weather alerts, available as a workflow and API.

The Weather Channel, also called TWC, returns current conditions and today’s high and low for a required location. Get daily forecast and Get hourly forecast return forecasts for a required location, with optional duration and units. List weather alerts returns active severe weather alerts for a required location, most severe first.

## Methods

### Get current weather

Operation `get_current_weather`, version 1. 1 credit per completed call. Failed calls without a completed billing receipt are free; completed work can remain charged if delivery is interrupted.

Get current conditions and today’s high and low for a city, postcode, ZIP code, or street address worldwide. Street addresses are matched to nearby weather observation coordinates; some observations may omit gusts or other measurements.

### Get daily forecast

Operation `get_daily_forecast`, version 1. 1 credit per completed call. Failed calls without a completed billing receipt are free; completed work can remain charged if delivery is interrupted.

Get daily forecasts for a city, address, ZIP code, or postcode on The Weather Channel. Up to 15 upcoming dates are available; fewer may be returned when the source includes past dates.

## Quick start
