# Google Finance API

> Google Finance returns quotes, market data, currency conversions, and company financials as a workflow and API.

Google Finance returns quote details for a stock, fund, index, or cryptocurrency when you provide an asset name or ticker. Its market methods list gainers, losers, active stocks, and major indexes; choose a mover list or optionally a region. Currency conversion needs an amount and source and destination currencies; company financials need a company and can specify a period and statement.

### Convert currency

Operation `convert_currency`, version 1. 1 credit per call.

Convert an amount between currencies using the current Google Finance quote. Rates may be delayed; unavailable currency pairs cannot be converted.

### Get company financials

Operation `get_company_financials`, version 1. 1 credit per call.

Get a company’s quarterly or annual financial statement lines, exact reported amounts, and year-over-year changes from its Google Finance quote page. Returns up to five displayed periods; unavailable lines are null.

### List market movers

Operation `list_market_movers`, version 1. 1 credit per call.

List today's leading gainers, losers, or most active stocks in Google Finance order. The current public layout displays up to four stocks per list; quotes may be delayed. The list time is the oldest displayed quote time among its stocks.
