Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Fous Terms of Service. Capitalized words have the meanings given in the Terms. The policy applies to everyone who uses the Service and to every Workflow, whether private or public, and every Build, Router request, Action, and Connected Account.

You are responsible for your Members, your API keys, and the applications and AI agents you connect to the Service. The Terms, in particular the section Your use of Target Sites, explain your responsibility for the Target Sites you access and the data you collect. This policy lists what you must not do.

Do not use the Service to:

• break the law or help anyone else do so;
• commit or support fraud, scams, phishing, identity theft, impersonation, or other deceptive practices;
• create, distribute, or operate malware;
• buy, sell, or promote illegal goods or services;
• harass, threaten, stalk, or defame anyone;
• create, collect, or share child sexual abuse material or exploit minors in any way; we report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to authorities;
• collect, generate, or distribute sexually explicit material;
• promote terrorism or violent extremism; or
• develop or acquire weapons, including chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear weapons.

Do not use the Service to:

• access or try to access an account, system, or data that you are not authorized to access, for example by using credentials that are not yours or that you are not allowed to use, guessing or stuffing credentials, exploiting a security vulnerability, or intercepting communications;
• test or scan systems for vulnerabilities without their owner’s permission;
• send traffic that is intended or likely to overload, disrupt, or impair a Target Site or network, including denial-of-service attacks; or
• evade a court order, a legal demand, or a suspension or ban that applies to you personally.

Do not use the Service to:

• collect or process personal data without a lawful basis or in breach of privacy law;
• doxx people, or build profiles to stalk, track, or surveil individuals;
• build facial-recognition or other biometric databases;
• infer sensitive characteristics about individuals, such as health, sexual orientation, religion, or political views, without a lawful basis;
• carry out social scoring;
• make or support decisions about people’s eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, or housing, or otherwise act as or supply a consumer reporting agency under the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws, unless you comply with those laws and have a separate written agreement with Fous; or
• process protected health information under HIPAA unless Fous has signed a business associate agreement with you.

Do not use the Service to:

• send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or break anti-spam, telemarketing, or e-privacy laws;
• commit ad fraud or click fraud, or create fake reviews, fake accounts, or fake engagement;
• manipulate search rankings, polls, or votes;
• buy event tickets in violation of the U.S. Better Online Ticket Sales Act or similar laws;
• post or send messages that impersonate another person or organization; or
• interfere with elections or distribute election disinformation.

Do not infringe or misappropriate copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, database rights, or other rights of others, and do not publish Workflows designed mainly to do so.

Do not:

• bypass the safety measures of AI Features or of our AI Providers, including the automated checks on Build and Router requests;
• use the Service for practices prohibited by the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, or for uses that Act classifies as high-risk, without our written agreement;
• use text or code generated by AI Features to develop AI models that compete with the models of our AI Providers; or
• present AI-generated content as made by a human where that would mislead.

Do not:

• resell, sublicense, or offer the Service as a standalone service to others without our written agreement; you may build your own products that use the Service;
• share, sell, or publish API keys;
• bypass rate limits, quotas, Credit checks, spending limits, or billing;
• create accounts or Organizations to obtain extra free or promotional Credits;
• try to break out of the sandboxes or browsers that run Workflows, or reach networks or systems they are not meant to reach;
• probe, scan, or test Fous’s own systems without permission, except under our security reporting rules;
• reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
• use the Service to mine cryptocurrency; or
• interfere with other customers or with the Service.

A Public Workflow must accurately describe what it does and which site it works with. The prompts, names, descriptions, example inputs, and configuration you supply for it must not contain Credentials, personal data that should not be public, or anything else that breaks this policy, and the Workflow must not hide or fail to disclose its Actions or contain malicious code.

We may investigate suspected violations. We may refuse requests, remove content, disable Workflows, API keys, or Connected Accounts, suspend or close accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement, as described in the Terms under How we enforce these Terms. We act in proportion to the problem and tell you our reasons unless the law, a legal demand, or a security risk prevents it.
